World Refugee Day 2004 National Activity Plan: Peru

On 23-24 June, UNHCR will organise a conference to raise awareness and provide information on refugee issues. On the first day, workshops focusing on the new Peruvian legislation on refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced people will be organised for government officials. The second day will be opened to the public at large. UNHCR will lead panel discussions on the protection of individual refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced people.
