World Refugee Day 2004 National Activity Plan: Argentina

For World Refugee Day, UNHCR will launch a public service announcement created free of charge by Young & Rubicam in Argentina.

There will be a refugee festival organised by UNHCR's partner, the Catholic Commission, with entertainment for adults and children and the exhibition of refugee wares.

A group of refugee women will hold a conference on the need for a refugee law at the Argentine Senate. The Institute of International Affairs of the National University of La Plata will organise another conference, on World Refugee Day and refugee issues.

10,000 World Refugee Day postcards will be distributed in approximately 100 restaurants and other public areas.
