On 19 June, radio prize contests were launched on Radio Delta R.F.I. (Romanian branch of Radio France Internationale). The radio station broadcast several times on 20 June a World Refugee Day dedicated jingle with Romanian lyrics composed by an African refugee.
On 22 June, an open-air concert was held with Gloria multicultural band at Ecran Club, in the university area in Bucharest. Documents produced by NGOs and UNHCR were distributed. "We Were There" and other refugee films were shown. Other side events included a demonstration of traditional art and cuisine, and a fashion show.
