UNHCR staff register refugees at the Douma registration center on the outskirts of Damascus. Registering with UNHCR ensures that the most vulnerable refugees receive aid.

Discussions and presentations took place at the forum, "Protection of Refugee Rights in Venezuela" in Caracas.

A photo exhibition, "Through the Eyes of Colombian Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons", was on display at the Catholic University in Caracas.

A commemorative concert was held in Maracaibo and Zulia.

Information on refugees was disseminated on various television and radio channels throughout June.

As a follow up to the education campaign, UNHCR visited border elementary schools in the State of Táchira. During the visits, UNHCR presented awards to the winners of the Refugee Rights Drawing Contest and raised awareness about refugees.

The Venezuelan Red Cross provided the population of refugee host communities in Ureña with medical check-ups.

A commemorative concert of Venezuelan folk music took place in Plaza Bolivar in San Cristóbal.
