From May 30 to June 15, UNHCR will have a stand wrapped in refugee-camp plastic sheeting at the annual Book Fair in Madrid. Celebrities will donate paintings and writings to be auctioned in benefit of refugees.

On June 14, España con ACNUR and Nubenegra will organise a concert titled "Djembes for Africa" at the Auditorium in Madrid to raise public awareness of refugees. African bands performing include Djanbutu Thiossane, Bidinte, Sylla Aboubakar and Nadjem y Aziza.

A concert will take place in Pamplona on June 18 to raise funds for a project for Afghan youth. The concert will be broadcast by Spanish television and TVE1 International. The following public institutions and companies are supporting the event: Pamplona City Council, Caja de Ahorros de Navarra, the Government of Navarra, Cementos Portland, EHN and SKF.

On June 20, a ceremony will be held at the Spanish Parliament with the presence of Her Majesty the Queen of Spain (to be confirmed) and high-ranking government officials. Former parliamentarians and current members will be invited. Refugees, academics, and NGOs will also participate. A photo exhibition on young refugees, "One day at a refugee camp", will be placed at the hall of the Parliament building for two weeks.
