Considerations for ethical data collection - RMS

Last updated:

The considerations for ethical data collection outlines some of the key ethical considerations around data collection. While specifically developed for Results Monitoring Surveys (RMS), principles around respect and dignity, code of conduct, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, informed consent, and confidentiality apply to all data collection activities.

To embody these humanitarian principles, interviewers should ensure that their behaviour and actions align with the list of ‘dos and don’ts’ provided in the document.

UNHCR colleagues can access the RMS intranet page to find additional resources and learn more about the RMS.
