Preparatory meetings and briefings in 2025
Fourth quarterly informal briefing on the Global Compact on Refugees in December 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland. Attendees included representatives of UN member States, non-member observer States, intergovernmental organizations, UN partners, non-governmental organizations and civil society.
In this section:
In 2025, the first three preparatory meetings will serve as consultative mechanisms to clarify the focus, programme, and intended outcomes of the High-Level Officials Meeting in 2025, while also assessing the progress made on pledge implementation.
The last meeting ahead of the High-Level Officials Meeting in 2025 (18 November) will brief stakeholders on the final preparatory updates and logistics around the event.
