The Consultations on Resettlement and Complementary Pathways (CRCP), formerly the Annual Tripartite Consultations on Resettlement (ATCR) event is the most important multilateral forum for UNHCR, States, the private sector, academia, NGOs and refugees to discuss and advance resettlement issues of common interest.

It allows for open and frank dialogue and strives to produce positive outcomes by forging collaborative approaches to global resettlement.

Since 1995, this annual event has provided an opportunity to address a wide range of policy and procedural matters, including advocacy, capacity building and operational support.

An important outcome of the CRCP is the continued promotion and development of new and innovative ways to solve problems and combine resources to improve resettlement and complementary pathways for refugees

2025 Consultations on Resettlement and Complementary Pathways (CRCP)

The 2025 CRCP will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 25 to 27 June 2024. This year’s event will be chaired by the Government of Spain, represented by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration (MISSM) and co-chaired by Accem, an NGO that aims to improve the living conditions of people in vulnerable situations.

The 2025 theme will be “30 years of securing solutions together”. The event will involve government State representatives, NGOs, refugees, academia, intergovernmental and international organizations and UNHCR.

Refugee Advisory Group

Established in 2020, the Refugee Advisory Group (RAG) is the official body of refugee representatives at the Consultations on Resettlement and Complementary Pathways.  Members of the RAG play an advisory role in the CRCP planning cycle and promote meaningful refugee participation in decision-making processes.
