UNHCR staff register refugees at the Douma registration center on the outskirts of Damascus. Registering with UNHCR ensures that the most vulnerable refugees receive aid.

World Refugee Day celebrations started on 8 June, with a Rock Festival for Peace. The exhibition "Looking Towards the Future: a UNHCR Vision" was displayed at the UN House in Panama City, moving on to Jaqué and Tuira in July.
