UNHCR staff register refugees at the Douma registration center on the outskirts of Damascus. Registering with UNHCR ensures that the most vulnerable refugees receive aid.

- On 20 June, several events will take place in the Pankisi Valley. At 11: 00 am the MRA Minister and a UNHCR Representative will deliver a speech, a ballroom dancing troop from Akhmeta will give a performance, refugee children will dance and sing and prize and awards will be given to children.
- In Tbilisi an arts and crafts exhibition/sale of refugee made products will take place on Shardin Street for 19-23 June and on Vernissage Street on 19 June at 17.00. This will be followed by a cocktail reception.
- In Sukhumi (Abkhazia) a conflict resolution lecture at the University will be given.
- In Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) a performance by children for children will take place, followed by a distribution of presents.
