Refugee Week 2022

Every June the UK celebrates Refugee Week with events across the country.

This year the festival launches on World Refugee Day, June 20. 

2022’s theme is healing. Organisers are encouraging everyone to explore what it means to heal from trauma and the ways that we can support each other. 

Events across the UK will discuss the ways we can promote and support healing processes, including through education, art, conversation, sport and coming together as a welcoming society.  

UNHCR will be part of events throughout the festival.  

Every Refugee Week the people of the UK show that they are ready to welcome and support refugees and this year many have opened their homes to people who have had to flee their own.  

Join us in celebrating all the people who are helping others heal.
