Sixteen-year old Farihalh hardly misses school despite her numerous daily chores. Farihalh wants to become "Minister of Darfur", the region she and her family escaped in 2004.

  • 20 June (morning), Bureau National de Coordination des Réfugiés, Conakry: Folkloric dances, theatre performances and sketches.
  • 20 June (afternoon), National Assembly, Conakry: WRD extraordinary assembly to adopt "The Conakry Declaration", a call to African governments and the international community to prevent conflicts in order to gain stability and promotion of peace in the region. Speeches by the President of the National Assembly, Minister of Territory Administration, UNHCR representative and a refugee representative. UNHCR High Commissioner's WRD message will be screened. A reception will follow with refugee performances.
  • 20 June, refugee camps of Kissidougou and Nzérékoré: Cultural performances, football matches, screening of High Commissioner's WRD message and documentaries and debates.
  • Broadcast of WRD TV and radio spots and High Commissioner's message on Guinean national TV and radio stations as well as rural and community radio stations.
