Funding of UNHCR's Kosovo operation

A 20 million Euro contribution from the European Community Humanitarian Office to UNHCR's Kosovo programme has eased the immediate funding crisis, as the High Commissioner announced yesterday. To date, we have received just over $100 million toward our $143 million appeal for the January-June costs of this operation. Thus there is still a significant shortfall. The biggest single donor to date remains the Government of Japan, with a contribution of $23 million, or more than 20% of all funding received.
