Refugees at Dzaleka camp, the only camp in Malawi, marked World Refugee Day with the official opening of a health centre that was attended by senior government officials and members of the diplomatic community.

Other celebrations included a refugee band performance, traditional dances,

as well as a radio play and a comic show that advocated harmonious co-existence between refugees and Malawians. To promote this, sports events - including a football match and a netball game - were also held between the two communities.
