Kids play in a neighbourhood populated mostly by Iraqi refugees. Because refugees are not allowed to work in Syria, children often must take informal jobs to help support their families.

On June 19, a UNHCR-sponsored symposium on African refugees will take place at the UN House in Tokyo. The High Commissioner will participate in a conference on June 20.
A photo exhibition will be held in the UN House Gallery from June 19 to July 18.
A Peace Art Charity Festival titled "Through the Refugee Eyes" will be organised by the NGO, PeaceTune.org, on June 21 and 22 in the Red Brick Building in Yokohama. The event includes a photo exhibition, NGO workshops, African music and performance, a video show and a charity auction.
