Private Partners
Support from private partners injects new and vital energy into finding responses to refugee needs.
Some of the world’s leading companies, foundations and philanthropists are already helping us to maximize our impact and improve our capacity to make a difference by delivering lifesaving assistance and sustainable solutions for millions of refugees and displaced people worldwide.
UNHCR depends almost entirely on voluntary contributions, raised on an annual basis from government, corporate, foundations and individual donors. Without your vital support, we would not be able to meet the needs of the millions of people we care for.

Over the last 15 years, we have helped over 10 million people find home again
Two-time winners of the Nobel Peace Prize, we have 65 years’ experience of knowing what works
More than 140 countries are party to the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees
Sustainable Development Goals
In this globally connected world heavily impacted by conflict, poverty and climate change, UNHCR is continuously safeguarding the rights and needs of refugees, internally displaced and stateless people in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are strongly committed to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to “leave no-one behind”.
UNHCR has been engaging with States, host communities, civil society and key national service providers to promote the inclusion of our persons of concern in mainstream national systems, including health and education, pending durable solutions to their displacement.
The participation of the private sector is highly supported by UNHCR in order to achieve the SDGs. Corporate social responsibility has not only been increasingly recognized as a key drive contributing to long term success in the private sector, but also ensured corporates’ social and environmental impacts can bring benefits for everyone with sustainability.
