- In order to increase public awareness about refugee issues, a drawing competition based on the theme "Hope" will be organized during the month of May at Kharaz camp. Winners will be awarded prizes on 18 June, 2006.
- Arts and crafts produced in the community centres will be exhibited at the camp.
- A t-shirt slogan competition based on the theme "Hope" is scheduled during the month of May. (Kharaz camp).
- To strengthen the fragile relationship between refugees and local communities, an afternoon of friendly sporting activities will be held at the camp (Football, basketball and cross-country competitions) Refugee sport teams will play with village sport teams.
- In the evening, a series of films will be screened in the community centre.
- To create income for refugees, arts and crafts will be sold at an exhibition stall in Aden Mall.
