- 20 June, 11h00-12h30, National Press Club, Almaty: Press conference and reception for mass media. Speakers: Cesar Dubon, UNHCR's Acting Chief of Mission; N.L. Narasimha Rao, Protection Officer.
- 21 June, 18h30-20h00, Aku Hotel, Astana: WRD reception and exhibition on UNHCR's implementing partners vis-à-vis refugees. Food and drinks will be provided. Speakers: Cesar Dubon, UNHCR's Acting Chief of Mission.
- 15 to 30 June: Broadcast of WRD spot in Russian as well as a TV programme on refugees' courage and UNHCR activities.
- 20 June: Announcement of winner of National Students' Contest on "Why Should Refugees Be Protected". For students of International Law Departments of the Universities of Almaty, Astana, Karaganda and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
- 27 June, 09h30-17h30, UN Conference Room, Almaty: Workshop for teenagers on UN and UN agencies in Kazakhstan, followed by a seminar on the rights of refugees.
- 17 June, 09h30-12h30, Public School No 46, Almaty and Oblast: Sports Festival devoted to WRD for refugee families, including the announcement of the winners of drawing contest, "Refugees in Kazakhstan", and essay contest, "Refugees and Courage" for refugee children and teenagers. Distribution of UNHCR mugs to all participants. The event will be opened by UNHCR's Cesar Dubon.
