In 2021, 162 countries included refugees in their national COVID-19 vaccine plans. However, roll-out is a challenge due to the unequal availability of vaccines. Many of the countries hosting the most refugees have made only very slow progress towards the global goal of vaccinating 40% of people by the
end of 2021 and 70% by mid-2022.
