High Commissioner in London

In London today, the High Commissioner is scheduled meet with artists and entertainment companies who participated in UNHCR's 'Voices for Darfur' concert in December last year to thank them for their generous support in raising awareness about the crisis situation in Darfur. Some 2 million people are displaced within Darfur, and more than 200,000 refugees have fled over the border into eastern Chad. A DVD of the concert, 'Voices for Darfur,' has been released by EMI and is available from main online music outlets and record stores.
