Refugee issues took centre-stage on "Latinica", the most popular prime-time TV talkshow in Croatia. UNHCR helped the TV crew to prepare a feature on the agency's reception centre for asylum seekers. The UNHCR video, "Facing Our Future" was also screened on the programme, followed by a discussion on refugee- and asylum-related issues by representatives of UNHCR, the Croatian and Slovenian Interior Ministries, as well as NGOs and the media.

UNHCR's Representative in Croatia participated in an hour-long radio show to talk about World Refugee Day events and the agency's work in general. A week-long exhibition of UNHCR posters was held at the Centre for Human Rights in Zagreb.

In Sisak, the refugee agency worked with the Croatian Red Cross and NGO Suncokret to organise celebrations at a reception centre for asylum seekers. Youth from Topusko and Gvozd performed songs, dances and the majorette.

In Osijek and Knin, UNHCR hosted informational events for law students and exhibitions to highlight the situation of refugees in Croatia and worldwide. There were also plays for refugee children from collective centres.
