Guilmey refugee site, in Chad. The site is for refugees who fled conflict in Cameroon 3 years ago. Just over a week earlier, in the second half of October 2024, flood water from the nearby Chari River started moving towards the site. The community has tried to hold the flood water back with sand bags but the water continues to rise.
