At its 4th plenary meeting, on 29 April 2002, the Economic and Social Council took the following action with regard to vacancies in its subsidiary and related bodies:

The Council elected Ecuador, Guinea, New Zealand and Yugoslavia, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 56/133 of 19 December 2001.
