Bangkok – UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency in collaboration with Blue Elephant Restaurant organized the “International Chef’s Day: The Living Legend Chefs Charity Brunch for UNHCR” event on 20 October.
Chef Supinya Junsuta famously known as Chef Jay Fai, Michelin Starred Chef, performed a live cooking demonstration of her famous crab omelette. Mr. Vorasan Supap, a well-known Thai artists for capturing the essence of local life along the river for 30 years, created a unique masterpiece exclusively for auction.
The charity event welcomed over 120 guests to raise funds for UNHCR’s Empathy Emergency Fund.
Chef Nooror Somany Steppe, master chef and owner of Blue Elephant restaurant, a Royal Thai Cuisine, presented a donation of 800,000 Baht from the Charity Brunch to UNHCR. These funds will support refugees and forcible displaced persons facing humanitarian crises worldwide.
