“Yemen is now on the brink of man-made famine, facing the worst cholera epidemic in the world in decades. “UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie calls for urgent action to help the people of Yemen in their desperate plight.
Jolie is in Seoul, South Korea, where some 500 Yemenis are being hosted after fleeing the conflict. More on her visit here: https://trib.al/G4lwXNu
She also expressed UNHCRs wish to work more closely with the Korean authorities on strengthening their asylum system. Angelina Jolie conveyed UNHCR’s thanks to the people of South Korea for their support to refugees worldwide.
