Taldu’s civil registry in rural Hama was considered a hub whose services not only benefited the local community but also neighbouring governorates.
The registry resumed its services in 2019 with limited capacity, despite impact of the crisis and rising needs.
To support families obtain civil documentation, UNHCR and its partners established this prefabricated civil registry in Taldu.
From IDs to family booklets, birth registration to marriage documentation, the registry provides legal services to those who need it most, including women and children.
Today, the registry offers essential services to over 100,000 indivisuals in over 25 villages.
