World Refugee Day 2007 National Activities: Niger

Refugee children wash their families' clothes in Djabal camp. Many children are overwhelmed with daily chores and as a result attend school only sporadically.

A cross-country run, football games, a cocktail party and a cultural evening were organized on June 20. During the cultural evening, 35 refugee children put on a show accompanied by two musical bands.
