- In 2023, Iceland contributed over USD 1.3 million to UNHCR’s response to the Ukraine situation.
- In 2022, Iceland more than doubled its funding to UNHCR, making it our 7th biggest donor per capita.
- Iceland also provided support for UNHCR’s Afghanistan response and for the Sahel situation.
- Iceland has also provided consistent support for UNHCR efforts in Syria.
