UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, has submitted its observations on the proposed amendments to the Danish Aliens Act, L87 (Udskydelse af retten til familiesammenføring for personer med midlertidig beskyttelsesstatus, skærpelse af reglerne om tidsubegrænset opholdstilladelse, skærpelse af reglerne om inddragelse af flygtninges opholdstilladelse m.v.).
UNHCR notes that the Danish government evidently aims at conveying a message to make it “less attractive” to seek asylum in Denmark, and UNHCR assesses that this is a deeply concerning response to humanitarian needs.
