UNHCR has published an updated paper with recommendations on how to strengthen refugee protection in Sweden, Europe and globally.
UNHCR’s Representation for the Nordic and Baltic Countries has developed a paper that sets out UNHCR’s views and recommendations to further strengthen refugee protection in Sweden, as well as guide Sweden’s engagement in European and international fora where issues of refugee protection and asylum are being discussed.
This document is an update to the set of recommendations that were published in June 2020.
The recommendations are addressed to the Swedish Government, parliamentarians and all other relevant institutional actors and stakeholders and aim at contributing to constructive discussions on improvements of the protection and integration systems for refugees at the national, regional and international level.
