Danjin Malinovic was a child when he fled war in Yugoslavia in 1994. Now he lives in Sweden and performs the monologue ‘Where is my home’ at theatres throughout the country. In 2014, he also published a book titled “Where is my home”, which details his experiences being a refugee. Malinovic hopes that telling his personal story will help others to understand refugees better. He has taken the traumatic experiences of his childhood, and through his chosen profession of stagecraft, worked them into an educational example for the public.
Malinovic has previously worked at Helsingborg City Theatre as an actor and has had roles in ‘Möss och människor’ and ‘Trettondagsafton’, both performances directed by Michael Cocke.
Malinovic has also played a role in the popular Swedish TV series Wallander adapted from Henning Mankell’s Kurt Wallander novels.
