How many asylum-seekers have arrived so far this year to the different Northern European countries and how many arrived last year? Who are they and where did they come from? How many were granted protection and how many refugees arrived under the resettlement programme?
The latest UNHCR Northern Europe factsheets – covering Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden – provide an overview of 2017 concerning asylum-seekers, refugees and stateless persons in the region.
The factsheets also show the numbers of arrivals, resettlement cases, the percentage and total number of people granted protection, as well as arrivals in the different countries over the last five years and the first six months of 2018.
