Are you currently or have you been in the family reunification process? In December 2024, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is organizing focus group discussions on family reunification in Sweden. UNHCR is looking for refugees and their family members who have experiences of the family reunification process in Sweden and who are interested in sharing their story.
By taking part in these family reunification focus group discussions, you will help UNHCR shed light on refugees’ perspectives on access to family reunification in the Nordic countries. For more information please see: Family Reunification and UNHCR Recommendations on flexible approaches to family reunification in Europe.
What to expect from your participation in the Family Reunification Dialogue?
- You will be able to share your experiences of being in the family reunification process, both positive and negative.
- You will learn about other people’s experiences of the family reunification process.
- By sharing your experiences, you will make it easier for UNHCR to advocate for refugees’ right to family reunification.
- Your name and participation in the focus group discussions will remain confidential.
- Please note, that UNHCR is not part of the family reunification procedures in the Nordic and Baltic countries and UNHCR will not be able to give you advice or legal assistance with your family’s case.
- If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
