There were 9,081 refugees from Ukraine recorded in Slovenia, as of January 2023.
The UNHCR’s presence in Slovenia began in 1992. UNHCR Slovenia is part of the UNHCR Central Europe, based in Budapest, Hungary.
Along with partners and authorities, we provide legal counselling and psycho-social support. We support inclusion and secure solutions for all refugees, through national social protection programming and engagement with municipalities and communities. We are also committed to strengthening public support for asylum-seekers, refugees, and stateless persons.
