World Refugee Day 2002: Lithuania

On 21 June, a performance titled "Refugee Flight" demonstrating the plight of refugees was presented to the general public in Vilnius. Later on, a camp was set up down the Gediminas hill in the city centre, where the public had an opportunity to taste refugee food and talk to them, as well as to workers of the aid organisations operating in the camp. The event culminated in a public concert bringing the Lithuanian musical groups and refugees together.
