The exhibition "Refugees Are Us" was held in the Belgrade Cultural Centre Hall from 14 to 23 June.

On 14 June, a story-telling session was held at the Belgrade Youth Centre. Children and adults from the collective centres in Serbia and Smederevo performed with the support of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Commissioner for Refugees of the Serbian Government, and the association of the Japanese aid organisations.

In collaboration with ICRC, UNHCR organised a round table discussion "Women Facing War" at the Belgrade Youth Centre with the participation of the government officials, members of the Red Cross, academics, students, and media.

On 22 June, a photo exhibition "Faces" was organised at the Belgrade Youth Cultural Centre. The event was supported by the Goethe Institute.

In Kosovo, a UNHCR-funded book "Kosovar Women, a Collection of Images" was launched. The photo book contains some 60 black and white photos taken by Hélène Caux and Valbona Shujaki, and the text was written by Rachel Wareham and Monica Lallmazares.

In co-operation with UNMIK, UNHCR held a day-long information session in Pristina as part of a workshop on the issue of internally displaced persons, attended by officials from governmental, non-governmental and international agencies from Serbia and Montenegro. The workshop aimed to lay the groundwork for the development of and effective information framework for internally displaced persons in order to ensure that they have a free and informed choice about whether or not to return to Kosovo.
