UNHCR Moldova aims to recognize outstanding coverage who has supported refugees, and the refugee response in the Republic of Moldova from February 24, 2022 until April 30, 2024. This recognition honors the critical role of the media in raising awareness and driving action to support forcibly displaced people

How to Participate
Journalists and media are invited to submit their nominations by filling an online form. Each submission should include the link to the media coverage, the people involved in its creation, and a brief explanation (300 characters) of how the article, video, reportage, or other media product was made (the story behind the scenes) and how it impacted on the refugee response in Moldova. Only one piece of work per person/organisation can be accepted.

Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria
Selection Process
A jury composed of UNHCR communication experts and local media experts, will evaluate the nominations and vote for the most impactful media coverage.
Award Ceremony
The award will be presented on June 20, 2024, in Chisinau, during a high-level event dedicated to commemorating World Refugee Day, a space to Thank the Moldovan people for their solidarity towards refugees. The winner of the award will also be invited to join the panel discussion on refugee response on the day of the event.
