She was accompanied by the Turkana County Governor Josphat Nanok, UNHCR Country Representative Raouf Mazou, WFP Country Director Annalisa Conte among others. It is also contributing towards Bamba Chakula – a new program that is providing a monthly electronic cash transfer to refugees and allows them to purchase some food items in the local markets. Over the years, DFID has supported innovative solutions that enhance delivery of services while equally ensuring sustainable livelihoods and empowerment of refugees and host communities.
