The celebration took place in Muyinga, near the new Congolese refugee camp of Kinama. Some 300 people competed in various traditional games and dances (including a bike race by women from the host community and the camp). The festival was also meant to help the newly arrived Congolese refugees in the process of familiarisation and integration into the local community.
