Stateless persons: some gaps in international protection

This document addresses the 1954 Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons and the 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness. It discusses the rise of statelessness as an area of international concern and the gaps in international protection which have yet to be addressed to ensure effective nationality as a means of protection.
