This World Refugee Day, the Cyprus Refugee Council and UNHCR Cyprus together with Cloud 10 Music Agency, are organizing a virtual music event to celebrate togetherness and inclusion. The event will be streamed online via YouTube on Sunday 20th of June 2021, from 6pm to 9pm, and featured on our Youtube Channel.
The event will feature selected audio recordings from refugees singing their favourite songs, song requests from refugees and some world music favourites by DJ Claudio.
How can I participate?
Send us an audio recording of you singing your favourite song, or an audio recording requesting the DJ to play your favourite song. The deadline to send the audio recording: Sunday 13th June 2021.
How can I record my song or request?
You can use any voice recorder app on your phone, or directly record an audio message into your WhatsApp/Viber.
If you are sending us an audio recording of you singing a song: At the beginning of the recording, please state your first name, the country you are from and the title of the song and country of the song you will be singing. Feel free to use any musical instruments while singing, or work together with friends to create your recording. Maximum duration of each recording is 3 minutes!
If you are sending us an audio recording of your request: At the beginning of the recording, please state your first name, the country you are from, the title of the song, country and name of the artist you would like us to play for you. Maximum duration of this recording is 45 seconds!

By submitting/sending us your audio recording you give permission to the organisers to use and include your recording in this event.
Please note: Due to the limited duration of the event, only selected audio recordings will be included. We will do our best to feature as many songs and requests as possible.
