Patricia Yáñez Nápoles
UNHCR Associate Economist
Patricia Yanez is an Associate Economist at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Mexico. She holds a degree in Economics and a master’s in public policy from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). Her job focuses on analyzing socioeconomic data and working with development actors to support strategies that enable the socioeconomic integration of refugees in Mexico.
Before joining UNHCR, she was part of the Resident Coordinator’s Office in Mexico, where she played a key role in coordinating activities. She also has extensive experience from her six-year tenure at the Ministry of Economy within the Government of Mexico.
