Craig Loschmann

UNHCR Senior Economist

Craig Loschmann is a Senior Economist at UNHCR within the Division of Resilience and Solutions (DRS) in HQ Geneva. He has Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy from the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance and UNU-MERIT. His work over the years has primarily focused on the causes and consequences of forced displacement in a number of contexts including Afghanistan, the African Great Lakes region and the Americas region, resulting in publications in peer-reviewed journals such as World Development, IZA Journal of Development and Migration and Forced Migration Review, among others. Before joining UNHCR, Craig consulted on a variety of migration and development-related projects for the World Bank, IOM, ILO and the OECD.
