World Refugee Day 2002: Sweden

In co-operation with Amnesty International and an art and literature magazine, "00TAL", UNHCR organised a panel debate on refugee women, gender-related discrimination, and persecution in Stockholm in May. Academics with different ethnic backgrounds were on the panel.

UNHCR held an exhibition of literature by refugee writers, and of World Refugee Day posters and leaflets in several libraries in and around Stockholm. In addition, 55 dental clinics in the region agreed to display World Refugee Day posters and other materials in their waiting rooms.
