Kids play in a neighbourhood populated mostly by Iraqi refugees. Because refugees are not allowed to work in Syria, children often must take informal jobs to help support their families.

An awareness campaign was conducted by a group of university students to introduce Chinese schoolchildren to the issue of refugee children through a drawing competition and some other activities.
A group of volunteers organised presentations on refugee issues at the People's University in Beijing.
