Statement By The United Nations Offices in Australia

Dr. Russell Trood

We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Russell Trood. We had the pleasure of working with him over the years he was President of the United Nations Association of Australia and admired his dedication to strengthening that organization.

We will remember him for his strong and articulate support of the United Nations and all that it stands for, as well as a colleague who was there for advice and reasoned opinion, quietly undertaken. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends.
