The 20th Para Sports Festival, organized by UNHCR and the National Paralympic Committee of Armenia, will take place on 23 and 24 July 2024, at the Yerevan State Sports College of Olympic Reserve. Organized with the support of the Government of Armenia, the Embassy of France, the Yerevan Municipality, and refugee-led organizations, this event aims to promote inclusive participation among refugees and members of the host community with disabilities. This event aims to promote inclusive participation among refugees and members of the host community with disabilities, providing a platform for them to showcase their talents and skills at a national level.
UNHCR recognizes the transformative power of sports in humanitarian settings, enhancing social ties, and providing avenues for achieving dreams. Our partnership with the National Paralympic Committee of Armenia exemplifies these principles, aiming to positively impact the lives of displaced and stateless individuals through sport.
