Tuesday, 20 June 2017, 11:00 AM, UN Conference Hall (duration: approx. one hour)
UNHCR Representative’s briefing with the media and civil society representatives, and a small group of persons of concern. The situation of displaced population in Armenia and worldwide, UNHCR activities and future plans paired by updated figures and statistics, will be presented during the event.

World Refugee Day commemoration event organised by UNHCR in cooperation with GIZ EISRA gathering a group of government, civil society, international and Diaspora organisations and NGO partners, as well as persons of concern (please see the invitation attached).

World Refugee Day marked on 20 June gives us the opportunity to highlight the plight of displaced populations in Armenia and around the world, pay respect to refugee and displaced families for their courage, resilience and willingness to start a new life in the host country, admire their entrepreneurial achievements on their way to integration and the economic development in Armenia and demonstrate that We Stand Together #WithRefugees.
