In 2016, the landmark decision made by the IOC to support the first Refugee Team at the Rio Games 2016, where approximately six to 12 athletes hope to qualify for a team spot, represented a unique step forward for the refugee cause.
Since 2010, OIC has provided more than USD 1.6 million in support of UNHCR.
