How to become a supplier

How to become a supplier for UNHCR

Suppliers wishing to do business with UNHCR in a specific region or country in answer to local/regional solicitations, shall request registration directly to the local/ regional operation. Suppliers may also contact Procurement Service in Budapest, which accounts for the major part of international procurement.

Prospective suppliers to UNHCR are asked to duly create a profile in the (link is external)UNHCR supplier portalLink is external (download the supplier portal manual) and attach a copy of their certificate of registration, Bank statement or letter of confirmation from the bank demonstrating ownership of bank account declared (including Account number, IBAN, SWIFT code).

ℹ️ Incomplete submissions will not be considered. 

Suppliers may be eligible for registration but are not necessarily qualified for a certain procurement action. This latter status is only determined after a pre-qualification or a tender evaluation exercise.

United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM)

UNHCR also recommends prospective suppliers register in the UNGM.

UNGM is a platform connecting UN procurement staff with suppliers interested in conducting business with the UN. Through the UNGM, suppliers can access tenders, contract awards and procurement opportunities from UNHCR and other UN agencies. The UNGM also provides valuable information and resources for engaging in business with the broader UN system.
